Deidra Stevens

President and Founder

Welcome to Music4More.org! I am so excited to be living my dream of starting my own non-profit. This idea came out of my love for music and my mission to make a difference here in the US with our youth.

Music was such an important part of my school experience. I played in our high school marching and concert bands. Started by playing the flute and ended up playing the sousaphone and tuba. I didn't realize at the time how lucky and blessed I was to have that opportunity as part of my high school experience.

My goal now is to work with local bands, community leaders, businesses and schools to help provide as many instruments and supplies to the classrooms, and to work with programs that already support schools.

In my past career I worked in baseball (Orioles, Mets and the Bowie Baysox) and then spent a few years working doing marketing in corporate America. I am also a Certified Event Manager from Temple University, sit on the Board of Directors for another fun organization called Mammojam and volunteer every summer as a camp councilor for the Mid-Atlantic Burn Camp.

I can’t list all of my favorite artists on here as we don’t have the space, but if you check out our lineups and our featured artists you can see whom some of my favorites are. I love everything from the Beatles and  Eagles to local Baltimore artists like David Andrew Smith.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our site! Check out our blog for more info about the goings on of our organization! If you have questions my email is dstevens@music4more.org

Brittany Patonetz

Marketing and Events Coordinator - DC, Virginia

I recently graduated from George Mason University with a B.S. in Business Management and a minor of Tourism and Events Management. My work with Music 4 More and George Mason's Program Board has shown me that I wast to pursue a career in the field of event management,

specifically concerts. Most of my free time revolves around music. I spend most of my weekends going to concerts even if it means traveling to see one of my favorite bands. Traveling to concerts has given me the opportunity to go to many places that I probably otherwise would have never visited. My favorite two bands are Honor By August and Stephen Kellogg & The Sixers.

Berkley Aiken

Marketing and Events Coordinator - North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia

HI!  My name is Berkley Aiken and I absolutely LOVE music!  I graduated from Presbyterian College in May 2010, where I majored in Business Management with minors in Spanish, Coaching, & Physical Education.  I played lacrosse in college and sometimes wonder how I got so hooked on music, as I completely lack all musical ability…but I’m extremely fascinated by people who can create art and music, and I have a strong passion for supporting those talents.  I got involved with music 3 years ago and am currently the Publicity Manager for the Charleston-based band Crowfield.  Working with them has given me the desire to pursue a career in marketing and promotions, and has provided me with the tools to get started.  I’m intrigued by the music industry and all that it entails, and am constantly attending shows in the southeast.  I volunteer with the City of Greenville during special events such as the annual Artisphere and Fall for Greenville Festivals, each helping me gain knowledge and experience in the industry, while simultaneously broadening my musical horizon. I’m a huge fan of local talent and have a strong connection to homegrown artists.

"If you want to keep your memories, you first have to live them." --Bob Dylan

Check out some of my favorite artists:

Crowfield, Hootie & the Blowfish, Will Hoge, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, The Dawes, Luke Cunningham, Pete Yorn, The Dirty Guv’nahs, Matt MacKelcan, Jonathan Tyler & the Northern Lights, LESLIE, Ponderosa, Emily Hearn, J Roddy Walston & the Business, and many many more!

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Jacki Summey

Board of Directors

I received my BS Degree from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, OH in 1999.  I began my career in the non-profit sector working for Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland.

I became involved with Music 4 More in 2008 because it combined my love of music with my passion for helping others.  I was very involved in concert planning during my college days and that experience has stayed with me over the years.  I love going to concerts whether it would be at a 50 person venue or at an arena.  My favorite “big time” musician is John Mayer (I have been to 6 of his shows and met him twice).  When it comes to smaller acts, the list is too long to mention but Dave Barnes, Pat McGee, Ari Hest and Tyrone Wells are among my favorites!

I am also involved in my hometown community as a member of the Junior League, a volunteer for Junior Achievement, Goodwill and the Humane Society.  I reside in Charlotte, NC with my husband David, our dogs Duke and Annabel (named after a Pat McGee Band song!) and our cat Jinx.

When Deidra planned Rock B*Cause Baltimore in 2007, I watched closely as she transformed her love for music and giving into this fantastic organization. I love music -- all of it -- because whatever is going on in your life there's a song or artist who understands and who's voice just makes everything okay.  If I had to narrow my "favorites" list to a select few... U2, Marc Broussard, David Gray, Paramore, Gavin DeGraw, Death Cab for Cutie and Coldplay.

When not listening to music, I'm pursuing my other two loves -- tv and sports -- as the Guest Booker and Segment Producer for Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic.  I'm primarily tasked with scouting and securing A-list athletes, entertainers and talent for Washington Post Live with Ivan Carter.  Since graduating from Syracuse University's Newhouse School in 2003, I've working in a variety of Public Affairs and Production roles. Prior to joining Comcast SportsNet, I served as Supervising Producer of Special Projects for The Comcast Network.  I also served on the Board of Directors for the DC-Baltimore Chapter of Women in Cable Telecommunications (WICT).  I'm an active member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and the Association of Cable Communicators (ACC).  I'm currently completing my Masters in Public Relations Management at the University of Maryland University College.
